Job summary

Heinzerling Community is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to support our HR and payroll operations. This role ensures the accuracy of employee records, processes payroll, and maintains HR compliance while delivering exceptional service to employees.

The position involves auditing timecards for up to 500 employees, maintaining confidential files, and supporting onboarding and HR initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing timecards for up to 500 employees.
  • Assist with the preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Review payroll reports and employee data for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Audit employee records and HR documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Support internal HR and payroll audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and personnel records within ADP and other HR systems.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and electronic personnel records.
  • Process employee data changes, including new hires, transfers, status changes, and terminations.
  • Assemble, review, and audit new hire paperwork, including I-9s, tax forms, direct deposit information, and other employment documents.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and exclusion screenings.
  • Create and issue employee identification badges.
  • Respond to employee and applicant questions regarding standard HR and payroll processes.
  • Assist with surveys, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Support employee recognition programs and other HR initiatives.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Payroll & Auditing

Reviewing timecards for up to 500 employees

Assist with the preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

Review payroll reports and employee data for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Audit employee records and HR documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws.

Knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, and HR compliance requirements.

The starting salary is $54,500 per year , with the opportunity for a higher starting salary based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
