Challenger School is seeking a motivated, organized, and discreet HR Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. This is an excellent learning role with real advancement potential—both of the previous incumbents have been promoted into larger HR positions within the organization.

This position focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and HRIS workflow accuracy, with opportunities to cross-train in benefits and leave administration. We are looking for someone with a strong service mindset, a deep respect for confidentiality, and an ability to work with integrity in a fast-paced, principle-driven environment.

Challenger School is an independent, non-profit private school with 26 campuses across California, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. Each year, we educate over 10,000 preschool through eighth grade students.

What You'll Do

  • Recruitment Support - Act as the company’s primary applicant sourcer, screening and forwarding qualified candidates to our regional hiring teams.
  • HRIS & Workflow Accuracy - Maintain employee data systems (current and former employees), including onboarding, recruiting, and record management.Create and update workflows that accurately reflect our current processes.
  • Onboarding - Manage onboarding documentation and system updates for new hires.
  • Benefits Cross-Training -Provide back-up support and learn core tasks related to benefits and leave

Who We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of professional office experience (HR experience preferred).
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and good judgment.
  • A service-oriented mindset, with a collaborative and upbeat attitude.
