Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico nestled in the Rio Grande Valley with the beautiful Sandia Mountains at its edge. We specialize in high quality, evidence-based treatments, offering comprehensive services such as medication management and interventional therapies for PTSD, depression, and other mental health conditions. We are seeking a compassionate an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Chrysalis Psychiatry's human resources functions and employee lifecycle processes. This position serves as a primary resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, HR systems, safety, and other employment-related matters. The HR Specialist maintains accurate and confidential records, administers established HR processes, coordinates with external HR partners, and escalates complex employee relations, legal, compliance, and organizational matters to the Chief Operations Officer.
Administer established HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee lifecycle processes.
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records and HR documentation.
Serve as a primary resource for employees and managers regarding routine HR questions, policies, benefits, leave, and employment processes.
Maintain HR calendars, deadlines, communications, and required documentation.
Coordinate recruiting activities in partnership with hiring managers, including job postings, candidate communication, interviews, background checks, and hiring documentation.
Coordinate employee onboarding, including employment documentation, system access, benefits enrollment, required training, and orientation.
Administer employee separation processes, including final pay and PTO coordination, benefits and retirement closeout, exit documentation, and personnel file maintenance.
Administer the Asure HRIS, including employee records, onboarding, timekeeping, payroll-related changes, reporting, and employee support.
Coordinate payroll processing, verify payroll information and timekeeping, and resolve routine payroll issues with Asure and internal partners.
Administer medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other employee benefit programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, changes, open enrollment, and employee questions.
Coordinate with payroll, benefits, retirement, and other external providers and maintain required records and deadlines.
Maintain the administrative components of the established Safety Program, including required training, records, communications, safety checks, and incident documentation.
Coordinate workers' compensation and New Mexico Workforce Solutions administrative requirements.
Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns and incident-related questions and appropriately escalated matters requiring investigation or executive involvement.
Maintain awareness of applicable federal and New Mexico employment requirements and research HR questions using reliable government, regulatory, and professional resources.
Maintain the Employee Handbook, HR policies, procedures, and related forms as directed by leadership.
Coordinate employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, celebrations, staff communications, and the employee newsletter.
Administer professional/malpractice insurance requirements, including provider enrollment, renewals, documentation, and routine communication with insurance carriers.
Coordinate the administrative aspects of student precepting relationships, including affiliation agreements, student onboarding, required training, and recordkeeping.
Maintain strong relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and external HR partners.
Identify administrative or process issues and bring them to the attention of the COO.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent HR experience may be considered.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized organization.
Working knowledge of fundamental HR practices and applicable federal and New Mexico employment requirements.
SHRM or other nationally recognized HR certification a plus
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; specifically Asure a plus.
Experience with benefits administration, employee onboarding/separation, and confidential personnel records.
Healthcare or behavioral healthcare experience preferred but not required.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with applicable standards.
Must be able to talk, listen, and communicate clearly by telephone.
