Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment, Hiring & Onboarding
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications and resumes, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare and organize new‑hire paperwork and employment documentation.
- Assist with background checks, Form I‑9 verification, and other pre‑employment requirements.
- Support new‑hire orientation and communicate company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
- Ensure required onboarding documentation is completed accurately and properly maintained.
Employee Support & Offboarding
- Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee HR questions and direct more complex matters to the HR Manager.
- Provide bilingual English/Spanish communication support to employees as needed.
- Assist the HR Manager with employee concerns, policy questions, documentation, and other workplace matters.
- Prepare termination and offboarding documentation and assist with employee separation procedures.
- Gather, organize, and maintain documentation related to employee matters as directed by the HR Manager.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
HR Administration & Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files and employee records.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefit documentation.
- Assist with leave documentation, workers' compensation paperwork, and employment verifications.
- Help maintain HR records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Assist with HR audits, compliance documentation, reports, and routine HR correspondence.
- Support the HR Manager with filing, data entry, record organization, special projects, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- 1–2 years of HR, administrative, recruiting, or office support experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Human Resources practices and employment‑related requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related programs.
- Experience with an HRIS, payroll system, or applicant tracking system (ATS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and approachable when interacting with employees, applicants, supervisors, and management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Dependable, responsible, self‑motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- Full‑time position.
- Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
- Occasional overtime or schedule adjustments may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to frequently communicate in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation
$28.00–$31.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
