Job Purpose
The primary function of this role is to assist in the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) department supporting staff onboarding, record keeping, and offboarding. The HR Rep. assists the department with data entry, record retention, and administration to ensure actions are in line with local, state and federal employment laws.
Hiring Range
$18.50/hr-$21.75/hr commensurate with experience

Essential Functions
- Maintains electronic records ensuring completion and accuracy of detail such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Performs timely data entry of status changes, payrate adjustments, work assignment changes and terminations.
- Facilitates all new hire onboarding process (new hire paperwork, backgrounds checks, cleared to work status).
- Conducts I-9 and staff onboarding orientations.
- Monitors for completion of staff learning plans via Learning Management System (LMS).
- Enrolls newly hired staff into integrated data exchange and care management platform, eVero.
- Handles correspondence from employees, vendors and support teams in a timely and professional manner.
- Performs administrative duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee within scope of practice.
Non-Essential Functions
- Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- Participate on various EPI committees as able.
Compliance
- Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning all business-related matters, including but not limited to board/vendors/donors’ names, investigations, finance, operations, and employee relations matters.
- Must be willing to complete specific company required trainings as mandated at time of hire and annually thereafter as per OPWDD regulations.

Education and Experience
- Minimum HS Degree in related field, with minimum combined experience of three (3) years related experience.
- Associate degree preferred with one (1) year of experience.
Supervision
Computer Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs to include Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Ceridian Dayforce/ HRIS knowledge and experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License-a vehicle is required for business travel.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and a diverse employee population of various levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to use poise, tact, maturity and diplomacy, during difficult and/or stressful situations to effectively collaborate and resolve issues.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and customer requests, while meeting deadlines.
