Summary

This role provides flexible, day‑to‑day support across all Human Resources and office operations for American Rheinmetall Munitions (ARM.) The position is responsible for handling a wide range of HR and office management tasks as they arise, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, applying established best practices, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. The role adapts to immediate needs, assists employees and managers with routine HR matters, and maintains an organized, efficient office environment.

Position is located in Vienna, VA with American Rheinmetall Munitions

Essential Functions

• Serve as the principal advisor to company leadership on all human resource matters; utilizing American Rheinmetall Human Resources or legal guidance when required. This will include employee relations topics.
• Align ARM policies, forms, and human resources practices with American Rheinmetall; including the employee handbook.
• Administer daily HR activities including onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and personnel files.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts, develop and implement strategies to recruit, hire and retain qualified talent.
• Ensure that company programs comply with federal, state and local employment laws, regulations and reporting requirements.
• Ensure the company’s compensation program is equitable and competitive, and represent the company’s interests to the control group in the creation and administration of competitive and equitable benefit programs.
• Implement and utilize the established performance management tools to assist company leadership in providing timely, objective feedback to employees regarding their performance.
• Provide guidance and support to the Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, S.A.U. (Expal) Human Resources.
• Oversee daily office operations to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Coordinate office supplies, vendor relationships, maintenance requests, and facility needs.
• Manage front‑office responsibilities including reception, visitor management, and mail distribution.
• Support leadership and employees with administrative tasks, meeting coordination, travel, and events.
• Act as the primary point of contact for building services, security, and external vendors.
• Organize company meetings, on‑site events, recognition activities, and basic communications.
• Respond quickly to changing priorities and manage urgent operational needs as they arise.
• Provide assistance across multiple functional areas (HR, facilities, safety, administrative support).
• Step into tasks outside typical HR responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Mentorship to Expal HR.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR 5 years’ Human Resources generalist experience that includes at least a year of project management.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources roles.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing HR initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years in a government contracting environment, defense or aerospace is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

• Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-cultural teams.
• Analytical skills to interpret HR data and develop actionable insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with HR software and systems.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret) if required.
