Job summary

RRD is seeking an HR Manager who is passionate about building community and championing the employee experience. This role leads HR strategies at assigned locations and partners with management to align HR objectives with business goals.

You will drive staffing, compensation, training, safety, and policy development while fostering open communication, legal compliance, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or similar with 5 or more years of HR experience.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of basic office programs (MS Office, Excel, Word) as well the ability to learn and grasp multiple internal and other core systems.
  • HRIS and Payroll system experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge in all areas pertinent to the management of all HR functions including compensation, staffing, employee involvement, EEO/AAP, safety training and policy development.
  • Current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees effectively.
  • Consistently contributes effort, leadership, and creative thinking to solving complex and significant problems in a collaborative fashion.
  • SHRM and/or HRCI Certification preferred.

  • Facilitate positive employee relations and internal management consultation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage the requirements and functions related to the Affirmative Action Plan for locations.
  • Oversee local workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and training programs.
  • Create learning and development programs and opportunities for employees.
  • Support and foster the Open Door Policy and company policies.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, regulations, and contracts are administered effectively.
  • Lead other HR duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provides leadership to management teams and employee groups by ensuring human resource objectives are aligned with business strategic goals through effective employee relations, compensation, staffing, training, organizational development, safety, and change management strategies. This role fosters employee involvement at all levels with the use of excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and creative problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Along with respective Management Teams, develop and facilitate strategic short and long-term goals for assigned locations as they relate to the employment function (i.e. recruiting, screening, coordination of staffing plans, promotions, training, succession planning, and positive counseling) and profitability.
  • Help facilitate positive employee relations, plant-wide effective communications, and internal management consultation.
  • Ensures legal compliance and implementation of the Company's human resources strategy.
  • Ensures management practices are consistent with all federal, state, and local employment laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Analyzes compensation trends in the local market, researches and proposes appropriate pay adjustment recommendations to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Effectively support and foster the company's Open Door Policy.
  • Responsible for administering policies, procedures, regulations, and contracts.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $70,500 to $111,400 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
