Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Sacramento, CA is seeking an HR Manager to oversee regional HR operations, champion our culture, and guide leaders on personnel issues including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, safety, compensation and employment law.

You will develop plans for key and high-potential staff, lead cross-functional HR projects, advise managers on discipline and performance, partner with recruiting, conduct new-employee orientation, administer benefits and wellness programs, and

• Bachelor's Degree and five years of Human Resource Management experience
• HR Professional Certifications (PHR, SPHR, CP, SCP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing development plans for key employees and high potentials
• Managing and identifying complex HR projects cross-functionally and guiding branch/regional leaders on HR issues
• Providing guidance to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, performance and other personnel issues
• Raising proactive issues with managers and recommending action plans
• Partnering with recruitment to select prospective staff and work with MSPs
• Conducting new employee orientation and training on benefits
• Administering benefits and supporting wellness initiatives
• Managing full cycle workers’ compensation claims end-to-end
• Performing other duties as assigned

Job description

This position is responsible for overseeing the human resources operations of a branch/region. The HR Manager champions the Shamrock culture and guides organizational leaders though personnel issues, including: talent acquisition, onboarding, training, benefits, safety, compensation, policies, communication, disciplinary actions, investigations, and employment law.

Essential Duties:

• Identifying and preparing development plans for the key employees and high potential employees
• Managing and identifying complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally Provides strategic insight and guidance to branch/regional leaders by building a strong business relationship and demonstrating insight, HR expertise and business acumen
• Providing pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, performance, and other personnel issues
• Raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommends appropriate action plans
• Partnering with recruitment team to select prospective staff and works with Community job interest groups and Managed Service Providers
• Conducting new employee orientation program and other educational and training programs on changes in benefits, etc.
• Administering benefits and provides support for corporate initiatives on wellness
• Managing full cycle workers compensation claims, from date of incident to claim closure
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and five years of Human Resource Management experience
• HR Professional Certifications (PHR, SPHR, CP, SCP) preferred

Pay for the role is weighted on several factors and base salary is expected to start $90-105K with annual bonus potential.
