STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Human Resources

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the human resources activities for their assigned locations. This individual must have strong foundational skills in HR, high proficiency with various HR software and HRIS systems, and demonstrate a broad knowledge base of general HR, payroll, and labor law functions and manage the needs of a growing organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years or older to apply for this position.

2. Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check as well as any other state, federal or company required background/record check.

3. Education Requirement: Associates degree from accredited college in Human Resources, business management or related field.

4. Experience Requirement: 2+ years experience in HR

5. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit for long periods of time, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 10 lbs.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of satisfaction for employees and leadership members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources Manager will be assigned projects, based on his/her level of expertise, that include any, or all the following job responsibilities. The individual may also be assigned other duties as needed by their supervisor.

  • Manage the processes in the HR department for assigned locations, including pre-hire processes, onboarding, benefits, compensation, job descriptions, performance management, employer/employee relations and investigations, terminations, leaves of absences, provide employees and leadership with information related to policy/HR laws/regulations and ensure HR policies are applied consistently, and provide support and training to HR department staff.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR staff, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Oversee and assist with new employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
  • Assist employees and leadership with information related to various HR topics such as leaves, benefits, investigations, grievances, and/or resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in development and implementation of Human Resource policies, and ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee and maintain HR systems and processes, including the Master HR spreadsheets, HR documents in the HRIS system, or other data to ensure proper document control in the HR department.
  • Assist with and/or distribute employee annual performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Oversee the maintenance of employee files and records in the HRIS platform.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations, and that the pay scales are aligned with the job descriptions.
