Job summary

James Madison University partners with Aramark to provide dining services. The Human Resources Manager leads HR for the workforce, partnering with operational leadership to oversee employee relations, onboarding, retention, compliance and engagement initiatives.

You will collaborate with Aramark corporate teams to support organizational goals and create a positive employee experience while driving talent acquisition, HR metrics, benefits support, and onboarding programs.

Qualifications

• HR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Bi-lingual-Spanish/English preferred.
• HR planning and organizational development experience desired.
• Union experience is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.

• Issue resolution, follow up and recommendations for corporate COE's including but not limited to: Hotline calls response, investigation and follow, Corrective action/performance management consulting, and Policy interpretation
• Employee Engagement Initiatives - Engagement Action Plan development and follow-up, corporate engagement and celebration activities point of contact/coordinator
• Talent Acquisition - corporate Accelerate to Leadership and Step up to Leadership point of contact
• HR metrics reporting and analysis
• Benefits and Payroll assistance as needed
• On-boarding programs and initiatives

Job Description

The Human Resources Manager leads all aspects of human resources for the dining services workforce at James Madison University. This position serves as a key business partner to operational leadership, overseeing employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, compliance, and engagement initiatives. As a hands-on HR leader, the Human Resources Manager works closely with Aramark corporate functional teams to support organizational goals and create a positive employee experience

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $80,000.00 to $86,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Ability to train and make presentations will also be required.

• Solid understanding of financial and business objectives and analytical/problem solving skills.
• Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must take initiative to improve processes as needed
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
