Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced on-site HR Manager for our Greer, SC operation. You will partner with operational leadership and employees, leading investigations, counseling, staffing, onboarding, and policy guidance in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

You will support recruiting and onboarding, coach managers, ensure accurate HR documentation, and maintain compliant HR records while addressing workforce trends with leadership across all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
• Previous HR leadership or HR management experience.
• Strong employee relations experience, including investigations and corrective counseling.
• Experience supporting a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or automotive environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with frontline employees and senior leadership.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite HR partner for employees and operational leadership.
• Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, corrective counseling, conflict resolution, and policy guidance.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, staffing, retention, and employee engagement.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.
• Coach supervisors and managers through employee relations and performance management situations.
• Ensure corrective counseling and other employee documentation is completed accurately and consistently.
• Support employee questions related to attendance, benefits, payroll, leave, and company policies.
• Coordinate promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and other employee lifecycle activities.
• Support training and development efforts for employees and leadership.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
• Monitor staffing and HR trends and work with leadership to address areas of concern.
• Maintain a strong presence throughout the operation and build relationships with employees across all levels.

What We’re Looking For
