Job summary

Oleon is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Conroe, Texas facility, with support duties for our Simpsonville, SC office. This role partners with site leaders to drive employee relations, performance, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance while aligning local execution with global HR initiatives.

The candidate will lead talent acquisition, policy development, and regulatory compliance, and will travel as needed to support multi-site operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including as HR Generalist/Manager.
  • 3 years in manufacturing, industrial, or similar operational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of US federal/state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, OSHA, ACA, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to advise on employee relations, performance, and workforce planning.
  • Administer benefits programs, enrollments, vendor coordination, and communications.
  • Oversee payroll administration, compliance, and coordination with providers.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with corporate standards and US law.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, and corrective actions while mitigating risk.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support HR operations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and coordinate audits (I-9, workers' comp, etc.).
  • Lead talent acquisition including recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR on global initiatives, compensation, and development.
  • Coordinate performance management, merit planning, and annual bonuses.
  • Identify training needs and drive learning initiatives tied to objectives.
  • Support leadership development and track HR metrics for decision making.

The Job

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager based at our Conroe, Texas manufacturing facility, with additional support responsibilities for our administrative office in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup operation with deep international roots, collaborating with global HR leaders to drive both local execution and worldwide HR initiatives.

Some of your main duties & responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to managers by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, vendor coordination, employee communications, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and coordination with payroll providers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices consistent with corporate standards and U.S. legal requirements.
  • Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and policy interpretation while minimizing organizational risk.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as needed, to support local HR operations, collaborate with global HR teams, and participate in company initiatives, meetings, and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment-related regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, COBRA, HIPAA, EEO, OSHA, ACA, and state-specific labor laws.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including payroll, benefits, immigration, I-9, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance audits.
  • Lead talent acquisition activities, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Partner with corporate HR to implement global initiatives, policies, compensation programs, talent management, and organizational development strategies.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, merit planning, compensation administration, and annual bonus programs.
  • Identify training and development needs and facilitate learning initiatives that align employee capabilities with corporate and operational objectives.
  • Support leadership development by coaching managers on employee engagement, performance, change management, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports related to turnover, headcount, absenteeism, recruiting, compensation, and workforce trends to support business decisions.
  • Manage leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, accommodations, and return-to-work programs.
  • Promote employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture that supports Oleon's values and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and oversee HR systems, ensuring accurate employee records, reporting, and compliance.
Who are we looking for?
You'll succeed if:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager.
  • Minimum of 3 years supporting manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operational environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, OSHA, COBRA, ACA, EEO, and wage and hour regulations.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations.
  • Experience working within a global or matrixed organization.
