Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational behavior, related field or equivalent
• 5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment
• Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and EEO requirements
• Experience leading investigations, employee relations and coaching managers
• Experience with payroll, benefits, HRIS and compliance reporting
• Strong communication, confidentiality and project-management skills

Responsibilities

Job description

Drive human resources strategy across recruitment, employee relations and equal opportunity employment by partnering with leadership to implement initiatives that achieve organizational objectives. As a Manager, Human Resources at Spectrum, supporting RapidScale, a high-growth business undergoing significant transformation, you’ll combine HR mastery and industry knowledge to evaluate and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

This is a highly flexible HR role that balances tactical and transactional responsibilities (such as tickets, emails and reporting) with strategic HR support, including leader coaching, employee relations and talent and performance management. You’ll work within a team where building trusted relationships is important. Your work will directly support Spectrum’s ability to meet business goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Partner with leadership to design and implement short- and long-term HR strategies that support organizational objectives and simplify the customer experience
• Provide consultative HR support to managers and supervisors, including guidance on performance management, employee development and organizational change
• Ensure legal compliance with all applicable federal state and local employment laws, including Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act
• Oversee employee relations by conducting investigations, managing escalated issues including ethics reports, and ensuring company policies are administered fairly and consistently
• Oversee recruiting, staffing, onboarding and retention strategies while ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity, Federal Communications Commission and affirmative action requirements
• Manage HR operations including payroll and commission processing, benefits enrollment, unemployment and workers compensation claims, HRIS maintenance and HR communications

Working Conditions

• This position observes a hybrid work schedule: 4 days in office/1 day remote
• RapidScale is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina
• This role may require up to 25% travel

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational behavior, related field or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment
