International Justice Mission (IJM) invites applications for the Spring 2027 Human Resources Intern class. The role supports Global People Support and HR Operations, with 30–40 hours weekly, in-person, hybrid, or remote for non-local candidates.
Salary is a volunteer stipend, not an hourly wage, with dates January 11–April 9, 2027. The intern will engage in HR research, project management, and general administrative support, reporting to the Global Director, HR Operations.

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Human Resources Intern to join the 2027 Spring Internship class.
The Human Resources Intern will support the Global People Support team, which is responsible for managing global compensation and benefits, employment policies, global mobility, global information systems, and HR metrics and analytics. The Human Resources Operations team ensures seamless HR operations, supports mission-driven projects, and drives innovative solutions to enhance productivity and support IJM’s people.
This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursday) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Global Director, HR Operations. The position requires 30-40 hours per week, primarily during the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm EST. As volunteers, interns and fellows receive a monthly stipend to help defray their expenses related toparticipatingin the internship program. This volunteer stipend is not an hourly wage, nor wages paid for services provided by the intern or fellow.
Spring internship program dates are January 11 – April 9, 2027.
