Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites motivated students to join as Human Resources Interns in Toledo, OH, supporting recruiting, onboarding, and HR program administration. You will gain exposure to compensation/benefits administration, records management, and data analysis while working alongside industry professionals.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in HR or a related field, with at least sophomore standing by Summer 2027, and are legally eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related business field.
• Must have completed at least the sophomore year by summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, employment, job postings and employee transfers
• New employee orientation and training
• Administration of HR policies and programs
• Administration of employee compensation, benefits, relocation, and immigration programs
• Coordinate performance review process for client departments
• Prepare and retrieve applicant and employee records
• Collect, analyze, and report data
• Prepare documents including reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, presentations

Education

Bachelor of Science in Human Resources or related business degree

As a Human Resources Intern at Cleveland‑Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern's education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Recruitment, employment, job postings and employee transfers
• New employee orientation and training
• Administration of human resources policies and programs
• Administration of employee compensation, benefits, relocation, and immigration programs
• Coordination/facilitation of performance review process for client departments
• Prepare, maintain, and retrieve applicant and employee records
• Collect, analyze, and report data and information
• Prepare, review, and process documents, including reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Various other duties as needed to support the business

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or another business‑related degree
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027
