Job summary

Parker HVAC Filtration Division is seeking a part-time/temporary Human Resources student employee who will support daily HR activities and provide customer service to a population of employees. Responsibilities include filing, preparing materials for trainings, and handling confidential information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to coordinate activities for a team.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day administrative support to HR with filing, copying, and trainings materials.
  • Maintains and updates personnel files.
  • Supports HR and Finance with weekly and monthly reporting needs.
  • Prepares new hire packages and conducts orientation meetings.
  • Participates in coordinating company events and community outreach.
  • Communicates professionally via phone, email and correspondence.
  • Handles sensitive information and documentation with care.
  • Maintains regular, punctual attendance.
  • Assists with Workforce Development Initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

With direct supervision, is responsible for work assignments on a part-time or temporary employment basis, while enrolled in a university degree program. Assignments are intended to provide experience and training related to the degree discipline and in Parker business structure, operational functions, customers, and products. Coordinates activities and performs administrative duties, while aligning tasks with the team’s goals and business objectives. Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department with the responsibility of providing customer service to a population of over 400 employees.

Responsibilities
  • Provides day to day administrative support to the Human Resources department with tasks such as filing, copying, and preparing materials for trainings and other HR related processes
  • Compiles and maintains personnel files; routinely files documentation to ensure personnel files are up to date
  • Support Human Resources and Finance departments with weekly and monthly reporting needs
  • Prepares new hire packages and conducts new hire orientation meetings
  • Participates in coordinating company events and community outreach initiatives
  • Communicates effectively through phone, e-mail and correspondence, while maintaining a professional manner
  • Carefully handles sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • Assist with Workforce Development Initiatives
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
