Based in New York City, our firm is made of engineers, technologists, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and consultants who are passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.

About the Role:
EnTech is hiring a Human Resources Generalist/Manager to support our Employee Relations and Immigration functions. This role focuses on managing performance guidance, conflict resolution and HR policy enforcement, while also overseeing end-to-end work visa processing and compliance. The ideal candidate will help foster a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace through strategic support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Employee Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies to maintain compliance with labor laws and promote a fair, inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and recommend retention strategies.
  • Advise managers on performance management, corrective actions, and employee engagement initiatives.
Immigration & Work Visa Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end visa process (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM, etc.), including petitions, renewals, and compliance.
  • Liaise with immigration attorneys and government agencies to ensure timely filings.
  • Educate employees and managers on visa requirements, restrictions, and travel compliance.
  • Maintain meticulous records for I-9, E-Verify, and USCIS audits.
  • Monitor changes in immigration laws and adjust policies accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and U.S. work visas.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, I-9 compliance, and visa categories.
  • Experience working with fragomen, BAL, or other immigration firms (a plus).
  • Strong mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High attention to detail for documentation and legal compliance.

Estimated Annual Compensation:
$85,000 - $100,000
