Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Five (5) plus years in Human Resources required in a Generalist/HR Representative role.
• Five (5) plus years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes bi-weekly payroll and related reporting.
• Supports HR Manager with employment transactions and employee relations.
• Administers Workers’ Compensation, benefits, disability claims, and leave programs (FMLA, OFLA, etc.).
• Maintains HR data integrity in the HRIS (UltiPro).
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and internal policies.
• Leads recruiting and onboarding to ensure a smooth process.
• Provides translation support (English/Spanish) as needed.
• Partners with union leadership and supports collective bargaining activities.

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting a dynamic, fast-paced, and growth-oriented manufacturing environment. This position serves as a strategic partner to the plant leadership team, helping to drive business results through effectivepeoplepractices. The HR Generalist will support a wide range of HR functions at the plant level, including employee relations, compliance,payroll, and recruiting.This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager at the plant and is instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Ensuresaccurateandtimely bi-weekly payroll processing , including related reporting and reconciliation.
• Supportsthe Human Resources Manager with employment transactionsand employee relations.
• Assistsin the administration of W orkers’ C ompensation , benefits , disability claims , and leave of absence programs (FMLA, OFLA, PLO, Workers’ Comp, Personal Leave, etc.).
• MaintainsHR data integrity by managing the HRIS system (UltiPro) and ensuring records are complete,accurate,and up to date.
• Ensurescompliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws as well as internal HR policies and procedures.
• Provides functional HR expertise and leadership to plant leadership and employees, fostering consistent and compliant HR practices.
• Assistswith annual HR programs, including but not limited to Benefits Open Enrollment , performance review processes , and internal audits .
• Leads recruiting and onboarding efforts to ensure a smooth and compliant hiring process.
• Servesas a point of contact for employee relations , acting as an advocate while guiding resolution of issues in alignment with company policies.
• Partner s with union leadership andparticipatein activities related to the interpretation and administration of the collective bargaining agreement , supporting positive labor relations and contract compliance.
• Provides verbal and written English/Spanish translation support as needed.
• Promotesa positive workplace culture by supporting teamwork, accountability, and professional communication.
• Guidesemployees and leaders through problem-solving, dispute resolution , and compliance with employment regulations to mitigate risk and support workplace harmony.
• Enforcescompany policies consistently and fairly across all departments.
• Ensurestheplantremainscompliant with J&J Snack Foods' Food Safety Plan (FSP) , Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program,Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), andGood Documentation Practices (GDPs).
• Followsall applicable OSHA safety regulations and food safety laws.
• Performs all otherduties asassigned by the Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Five (5) plus years in Human Resourcesrequiredin a Generalist/HR Representative role.
• Five (5) plus years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

US Salary Pay Range

$60,000 - $75,000 USD
