Job summary

Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery in New Jersey is seeking an organized HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support for fulfillment and office employees. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping, payroll for temporary staff, benefits administration, and HR operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of HR experience, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and timekeeping.

• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring for entry-level positions.
• Manage onboarding, new hire orientation, and employment documentation.
• Support employee relations, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary documentation.
• Review timecards, attendance records, and coordinate corrections.
• Process temporary employee payroll across multiple locations.
• Maintain confidential employee records and update HRIS information.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, leave requests, employee changes, and separations.
• Coordinate with staffing agencies regarding temporary staffing needs and employee concerns.
• Support managers with staffing, performance concerns, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.

Work Environment
