Job summary

Pod Health in Tampa is seeking an experienced, autonomous HR Generalist to own all HR activities on-site. You will report directly to the VP of HR in New York and partner with leadership to shape people programs for Florida operations.

The role covers regional HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll support, and cultural alignment, with a 100% on-site schedule. Location: 15310 Amberly Dr, Tampa Palms, FL 33647.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in healthcare or telehealth.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a strong plus.
• Deep knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
• Independence: ability to work autonomously as lone on-site representative while communicating with remote leadership.

Responsibilities

• Regional HR Management: Oversee all daily HR functions for the Tampa location, ensuring alignment with corporate policies set by New York leadership.
• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, vetting, and onboarding for local healthcare staff and administrative staff.
• Employee Relations: Primary on-site contact for employee inquiries, conflict resolution, and performance management issues.
• Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to Florida state employment laws and federal regulations, maintain personnel files and documentation.
• Benefits & Payroll Support: Coordinate with New York HR to facilitate local benefits administration, timekeeping, and payroll processing.
• Cultural Alignment: Champion POD Health's mission and values locally, fostering a proactive, inclusive, compliant work environment.

Position Overview

As we expand our footprint to Florida, POD Health is seeking an experienced, autonomous Human Resources Generalist to manage all aspects of our HR function in Tampa. This critical role acts as the sole on-site HR representative for our Florida operations, providing comprehensive HR support while reporting directly to the VP of HR based in New York.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range:$65,000 - $80,000 per year (Based on experience)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a strong plus.
• Compliance Knowledge: Deep knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
• Independence: Proven ability to work autonomously as a lone on-site representative while maintaining strong communication channels with remote leadership.
