Job summary

Heroux-Devtek, located in Strongsville, OH, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead engagement, benefits administration, and payroll-support tasks within the HDI Landing Gear unit.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR and 2–3 years of HR coordination experience, with HRIS proficiency and strong collaboration skills. You will partner with payroll and HR managers on operations and initiatives.

  • 2–3 years of experience in HR Coordinator role with experience in benefits administration, health and safety, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative and ownership for a wide range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration of all benefits, including invoices, enrollments, terminations, and answers questions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Oversee and coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees and collaborate with necessary staff on this process.
  • Assist Manager & Business Partner with tracking of HR information, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist Payroll Supervisor with payroll related duties as needed, logging internal promotions and changes.
  • Assist with employee relations and investigations.
  • Manage training program, requirements, record retention and reporting.
  • Responsible for employee engagement, event planning and initiatives.
  • Maintain visitor ITAR regulations and monitoring.
  • Ensure personnel files are up to date.

Information on the division:

Located in Strongsville, the 90+ employee facility (100,000 sq. ft.) is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for the final assembly of landing gear.

As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, and important military programs such as F-18, F-35, C-17 and C-130.

With a strong focus on latest technology of manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques we aim to remain the best value producer of complex landing gear components.

Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Human Resource Manager, located in the Strongsville, OH plant and is primarily responsible for employee engagement, benefit administration, and assisting the Payroll and HR Managers with operational tasks and initiatives.

Main responsibilities:
