Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support, balancing employee needs with organizational goals within Spectrum. You will help drive leadership decisions and foster a fair, compliant workplace across assigned areas.

Responsibilities include policy administration, employee relations, leave and accommodations management, benefits training, HRIS/payroll upkeep, and involvement in budgeting and HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Experience advising employees on workplace conflicts, performance matters and investigations.
• Ability to administer policies, counsel staff, and handle confidential information.

• Advise employees on workplace conflicts, performance matters and disputes, including investigations.
• Oversee leave of absence programs, accommodations, and workers' comp processes.
• Lead benefits enrollment meetings and provide training on policies and benefits.
• Maintain HRIS and payroll entries, conduct audits, and ensure compliance.
• Support bonus plans, merit processes, and HR budgeting initiatives.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Administer Spectrum policies consistently and communicate policy or procedure changes across assigned areas
• Advise and counsel employees on workplace conflicts, performance matters and dispute resolution while managing employee relations and investigations
• Oversee leave of absence programs, coordinate accommodations and support safety and workers' compensation processes
• Lead benefits enrollment meetings and deliver employee and supervisor training on policies, benefits and prevention topics
• Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll entries for your client group while conducting audits and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Support bonus plans, merit processes, and reporting as well as participate in annual budget planning and HR committee initiatives

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to connect at all levels

• Ability to make decisions, solve problems and work well under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize and demonstrate initiative
• Familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws and wage and hour regulations
• Understanding of staffing, employment practices and employee relations procedures
• Consultative, coaching and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Professional human resources certifications such as PHR or SPHR
• Knowledge of telecommunications products and services

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
