Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across client groups, help shape workforce initiatives and ensure fair, compliant practices.

You will administer policies, counsel employees, manage leave programs, oversee benefits enrollment, and maintain accurate HRIS/payroll data while supporting audits and budget planning. This role requires strong communication and discretion across all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to connect at all levels.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Administer Spectrum policies consistently and communicate policy changes across assigned areas
• Advise and counsel employees on workplace conflicts, performance matters and dispute resolution while managing employee relations and investigations
• Oversee leave of absence programs, coordinate accommodations and support safety and workers' compensation processes
• Lead benefits enrollment meetings and deliver employee and supervisor training on policies, benefits and prevention topics
• Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll entries for your client group while conducting audits and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Support bonus plans, merit processes, and reporting as well as participate in annual budget planning and HR committee initiatives

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience

• Ability to make decisions, solve problems and work well under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize and demonstrate initiative
• Familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws and wage and hour regulations
• Understanding of staffing, employment practices and employee relations procedures
• Consultative, coaching and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Professional human resources certifications such as PHR or SPHR
• Knowledge of telecommunications products and services

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
