This role will also provide vital administrative support across various HR functions, including record‑keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry. We are looking for a proactive, results‑driven HR professional who understands plant operations and has experience with employee engagement strategies.

In this role, you will:

  • Support Employee Experience & Engagement: Partner with plant leadership and corporate HR teams to execute talent, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee development programs. Lead and support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen morale, culture, retention, and team effectiveness. Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave programs, and workplace resources.
  • Manage Payroll, Benefits & Leave Programs: Process payroll using UKG/UltiPro, including audits, reporting, attendance tracking, and payroll reconciliations. Administer leave of absence programs, coordinating documentation, tracking, return‑to‑work activities, and compliance requirements. Coordinate benefits administration activities and support annual enrollment programs and employee education sessions.
  • Ensure Compliance & Administrative Excellence: Conduct or support audits related to payroll, I‑9 documentation, employee records, and other compliance requirements. Manage workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, tracking, and coordination with claim representatives.
  • Support Plant Operations: Maintain HR communication boards and wellness information. Coordinate site administrative activities including conference room scheduling, mail distribution, office supply management, document processing, and purchasing reconciliation. Contribute to special projects and other HR initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs, new hire orientations, informational meetings, and employee communications.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting HR operations, employee relations, payroll, benefits, leave administration, or HR compliance activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and handling sensitive information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, plant, or other operations environment.
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems such as UKG/UltiPro.
  • Experience administering leave programs and workers’ compensation processes.
  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated success driving employee engagement and culture‑building initiatives.
Success in This Role
  • Employee‑focused and service‑oriented.
  • Highly organized and detail‑driven.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • A collaborative partner who builds trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and committed to creating a positive employee experience.
