Job summary

Job description

The primary purpose of this role is to support all core Human Resources functions, including onboarding, training, benefits administration, employee records management, compliance, reporting, employee engagement, workforce metrics, and employee support.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and conduct new employee orientation, including completion of required paperwork, review of company policies and procedures, benefits information, required training, and follow-up on outstanding onboarding items.

  • Administer employee training programs, assign required courses, track completion and renewal deadlines, and follow up on outstanding training requirements.

  • Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollments, employee communications, qualifying life event changes, annual open enrollment, benefits audits, and reporting.

  • Maintain, audit, organize, and provide employee personnel records as needed.

  • Prepare and submit routine reports and documentation for internal audits, regulatory compliance, and federal, state, and local reporting requirements.

  • Assist with HR compliance activities, including maintaining required documentation, distributing required notices, tracking compliance requirements, and responding to routine employee questions.

  • Maintain and prepare workforce metrics and reports, including diversity and compliance-related reporting.

  • Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and wellness activities and initiatives.

  • Respond to routine employee HR questions and service requests, including benefits, employment verifications, policies, HR documentation, and other general HR matters, escalating complex issues as appropriate.

  • Process employment verification requests through written correspondence, phone communication, and required documentation.

  • Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including company property returns, exit surveys, separation documentation, and benefits continuation communications.

  • Maintain employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), perform routine data audits and updates, assist with system troubleshooting, and generate reports as needed.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/

Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 1+ years of HR experience

  • HR certification preferred

Requirements


  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, video conference, and email.

  • Ability to travel within the office environment and attend meetings as needed.
