Vaco has partnered with a company in the legal services industry in their search for an HR Generalist for a contract to hire engagement that would last around 3-6 months before conversion! This role can be remote, but will need to work 7-4pm Arizona/west coast hours. This consultant must be comfortable in a high volume environment as the company is rapidly growing.

Main focuses of the role:

• Running onboarding for new hires (Background/i9)
• Keeping Org Charts up to date
• Following HR handbook guidelines in day to day duties
• Review benefit invoices and auditing them annually
• Manage HR inbox

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
• Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in HRIS and audits for accuracy and compliance
• Provide HR advisory services to employees on absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and employee relations
• Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, reimbursements, hourly validations, and benefits changes
• Assist in communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, directory, organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
