Job summary

JAC Products is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Napoleon, OH team. You will support manufacturing site initiatives with daily HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.

Your role includes managing hourly recruitment, payroll processes, contract labor coordination, HRIS maintenance, attendance programs, and benefits administration, with FMLA oversight. A strong HR background in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of practical experience in Human Resources.
  • 2 years in a manufacturing/automotive setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee hourly recruitment including postings, interviews, offers, screenings, and new hire orientations.
  • Manage weekly/biweekly payroll processing and timesheet accuracy.
  • Coordinate contract labor planning and scheduling.
  • Investigate employee relations issues under guidance of HR Manager.
  • Maintain HRIS employee records and filing systems.
  • Administer hourly attendance program for the manufacturing facility.
  • Lead benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and inquiries.
  • Manage FMLA and Short Term Disability processes.

Job description

JAC Products is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Napoleon, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the overall strategic initiatives of the manufacturing site and the effective execution of daily administrative processes, including recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll administration, and employee relations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for hourly recruitment including internal postings, interviews, extending offers, preemployment screenings, background checks, and conducting new hire/benefit orientations.
  • Manage the weekly/biweekly payroll process by ensuring accuracy of employee schedules and timesheets, and processing payroll changes.
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of contract labor services.
  • Resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations at the direction and guidance of the Human Resource Manager.
  • Accurately maintain employee records within the HRIS system and employee personnel files.
  • Manages, administers, and maintains hourly attendance program for manufacturing facility.
  • Lead the administration of all JAC offered benefits, which includes benefit changes, new hire enrollments and employee significant event changes, short-term disability claims, benefit terminations, and benefit inquiries.
  • Leads FMLA and Short Term Disability management activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of practical experience in Human Resources
  • Two (2) years in a manufacturing/automotive setting
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management preferred
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or SHRM-CP preferred
