Magna International seeks an HR Generalist to deliver high-level HR support across employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and payroll. You will partner with site leadership to ensure policy adherence and data integrity in HR systems.
The role covers engagement, recruiting, benefits, and project work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, with travel as needed and a focus on confidentiality and professional maturity.

Responsible for providing a high level of customer service support and partnership with employees and site leadership in response to inquiries and concerns. The HR Generalist will own and/or provide support for core processes including employee relations, engagement, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, policy adherence and interpretation, benefits, FMLA, ADA, payroll, investigations, and maintenance of employee data in HR systems.
Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is sustained.
Ensure conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards is sustained. Maintain process procedures and documentation as applicable. Identify and suggest changes to procedures as appropriate.

Bachelor’s Degree.
3+ years HR related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws.
Previous manufacturing experience with employee population of 300+ employees.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Able to work flexible hours to support 24/7 operation.
Willing and able to travel.
High degree of professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential information and data.
Owning responsibilities from cradle to grave. Is self-motivating, takes initiative, and works independently. Ability to thinking analytically and strategically and devise initiatives to move the organization forward.
Ability to confront issues and resolve conflict while demonstrating diplomacy and tactfulness and controlling emotions.
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues. Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems and issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
Customer focused with strong execution skills and results oriented. Ability to lead by influence vs direct authority. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization including employees, management staff, and corporate personnel. Provides follow-through to ensure customer needs are met.
Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, fluid environment. Understands urgency and completes tasks timely, efficiently and accurately. Time management skills are essential.
Experience working in Automotive industry.
HR Professional Certification from SHRM or HRCI.
Working knowledge of Workday and Dayforce programs.
Bi-lingual in Spanish, Ukrainian, or Russian.
