Paylocity in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an HR Generalist to support various HR functions and serve as the primary contact for assigned locations. This on-site role requires handling benefits, policies, performance management, training, and employee relations with a focus on compliance and confidentiality.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, and preferably PHR/SHRM-CP certification.

This is not a remote position, must reside in the Lynchburg, VA area.
This role will support various HR functions within our organization and will possess a wide-ranging knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and effectively engage with employees. The HR Generalist will be the primary contact for assigned locations, which is subject to change.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required and 3-5 years HR generalist background including working knowledge of employment regulations and compliance requirements; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paylocity software experience a strong plus.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification are preferred or expected to achieve within two years.
Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. There is potential for eye strain from reading detailed materials and looking at a computer screen. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboards at a moderate skill level. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
If travel is needed, a valid government driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, as determined by company standards and insurer requirements, are required. All vehicles operated for Company purposes must be legally registered with appropriate government authorities.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and within an office setting.
