Job summary

Zadok Jewelers in Houston, TX is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Generalist to partner with leaders and support a growing team at our family-owned luxury retailer. You will act as a trusted HR partner, helping attract top talent and sustain a high-performing, compliant workplace.

You will own full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, administer benefits, ensure policy compliance, and foster a positive culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Strong recruiting and employee relations background.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Paylocity systems.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is not necessary but preferred.

• Administer employee benefits, leave of absence programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Assist with employee relations matters, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.
• Coordinate employee training, professional development, and compliance initiatives.
• Prepare employment letters, policy updates, job descriptions, and HR-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Support payroll administration by coordinating employee changes and maintaining accurate HR records.
• Assist leadership with organizational planning, employee engagement initiatives, and HR projects.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented workplace culture.
