At least 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM – CP credential preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Customer-service mindset with employees and supervisors. Ability to interpret policy and apply regulations consistently. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small HR team. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Grand Forks Public Schools is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to serve as a key member of the HR team. This position has primary responsibility for employee benefits administration and leave management, while also supporting recruitment, employee relations, and other HR functions as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and capable of managing complex employee processes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. Prolonged periods of sitting. Primarily office-based with occasional district travel.
Twelve (12) months
Annual written evaluation by the Human Resources Director.
