Confidential in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an HR Generalist with strong payroll and benefits experience to support HR operations across the Americas. Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist, payroll, or benefits administration role, including direct responsibility for payroll processing and employee benefit programs.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits such as 401(k), HSA, and Health and Welfare benefits plans.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll requirements, HR compliance obligations, and applicable employment practices.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Ability to translate manual administrative processes into clear workflows, checklists, templates, and system requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule, validating employee data, earnings, deductions, and required approvals before submission.
  • Review and validate timecards, payroll changes, salary adjustments, and employee data updates for completeness, accuracy, and timely approval.
  • Calculate and process final pay for separated employees in accordance with applicable requirements, investigate payroll discrepancies, and communicate timely resolutions to affected employees and stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete and accurate payroll records, prepare recurring payroll reports, and provide documentation and reconciliation support for internal and external audits.
  • Reconcile benefit deductions against enrollment records and vendor files, investigate variances, and ensure corrections are reflected accurately in payroll.
  • Administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and HSA programs, including enrollments, changes, reconciliations, employee support, and vendor coordination.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, leave programs, and HR policies, providing accurate guidance, timely follow-up, and escalation when needed.
  • Coordinate a consistent onboarding experience by completing new-hire documentation, supporting orientation, and ensuring accurate and timely HRIS setup.
  • Manage employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy.
  • Verify I-9 documentation and support compliance requirements.
  • Assist with performance management administration, employee communications, and HR reporting.
  • Support employee engagement and HR operational improvement initiatives by coordinating activities, documenting processes, identifying recurring issues, and recommending practical solutions.

Job description

We are seeking an HR Generalist with strong payroll and benefits experience to support HR operations across the Americas. Reporting to HRBP Americas, this role will manage payroll, benefits, employee data, compliance, and employee lifecycle support while helping modernize workflows through digital tools and agentic AI. Success requires attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective collaboration with employees, managers, vendors, and internal partners The role will also support the modernization of HR operations by identifying repetitive administrative tasks, improving workflows, and using digital tools and agentic AI to increase accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.

Objectives & Responsibilities
  • Process biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule, validating employee data, earnings, deductions, and required approvals before submission.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy.

HR Operations Modernization
  • Identify recurring manual HR, payroll, and benefits administration tasks that can be simplified, standardized, automated, or supported by agentic AI.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and system vendors to improve workflows, reduce manual handoffs, and enhance data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms.
  • Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to draft routine employee communications, summarize HR cases, prepare reports, support data checks, and improve self-service content.
  • Maintain clear process documentation, standard operating procedures, templates, and knowledge-based content to support scalable HR operations.
  • Monitor recurring employee questions, payroll issues, and benefits discrepancies to identify root causes and recommend automation or process improvements.
  • Support change adoption by helping employees and managers use HR tools, workflows, and self-service resources effectively
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong interest in HR process improvement, workflow automation, and practical use of AI-enabled tools in an HR operations environment.
  • Ability to translate manual administrative processes into clear workflows, checklists, templates, and system requirements.
  • Comfortable working with HR data, reports, dashboards, and digital tools to identify errors, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, confidentiality, data privacy, and the importance of human review in sensitive HR processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Payroll certification, such as the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
  • Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration across multiple U.S. states.
  • Working knowledge of Paylocity, SuccessFactors, and advanced Excel reporting.
  • Experience coordinating with payroll providers, benefits vendors, and internal finance teams.
  • Experience improving or automating HR, payroll, benefits, onboarding, or employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with workflow tools, HR case management, knowledge bases, ticketing systems, Microsoft 365 tools, Power Automate, Copilot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating HR process documentation, employee self-service content, FAQs, or standard operating procedures.
  • Curiosity about agentic AI and practical experience using AI tools to improve administrative productivity while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.
