About the company
We're a founder-owned healthcare revenue cycle services company with a 20-year track record. We have no outside investors, so profits go back into our people and our technology. Our clients rely on real experts, not just automation, and our culture is built on service, hard work, accountability and kindness. We're growing quickly and plan to double revenue in the next two years.
The role
This is a leadership team seat for a future-focused, low-bureaucracy people leader who owns HR. You'll recruit A players, develop leaders, plan the workforce around growth, and protect a culture that keeps people first. You'll keep processes simple: fewer forms, fewer sign-offs, the simplest path that works. You'll also stay close enough to people to spot growth potential and warning signs early.
What you'll do
Leadership
- Turn business priorities into people strategy, organizational design and workforce plans
- Plan headcount around revenue growth, and look at technology and process before adding people
- Keep a future-looking accountability chart that shows where the company is going
- Plan for what's next, including multi-state expansion and upskilling as technology changes roles
- Use tools like Kolbe, CliftonStrengths and PRINT to help teams understand each other and perform
- Bring a clear point of view, push back when needed, and fully commit once a decision is made
- Champion the culture and core values, even when it's uncomfortable
Management
- Recruit continuously and build pipelines before a seat opens
- Create a first-class onboarding experience so every new hire feels welcomed and set up from day one
- Keep a largely remote workforce engaged and connected
- Coach managers to interview well and make better hiring decisions
- Audit HR vendors and tools each year to cut duplication and confirm value
- Serve as the internal expert on benefits, balancing employee experience with budget
- Respond to every employee within 24 hours
Accountability
- Close every open issue, and take notes so nothing gets lost
- Make balanced talent calls: diagnose the issue, give one clear chance to improve, then decide
- Balance legal compliance with a healthy culture, without letting either turn into bureaucracy
- Move fast but get it right, and know when to bring in legal counsel or a specialist
How success is measured
- No seat open longer than 30 days
- Faster time-to-fill and lower turnover
- A people plan and accountability chart that scale with growth
- Consistent onboarding and strong engagement across remote and in-office teams
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership, ideally in a fast-growing organization
- Experience advising senior leaders and tying people decisions to business results
- Hands-on enough to deliver in a lean company without layers of support staff
- Experience leading HR for a remote or hybrid workforce
- Strong grounding in recruiting, talent development, compensation, benefits and employee relations
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR
- Experience with EOS/Traction, Kolbe, Working Genius, CliftonStrengths or similar tools
- Built recruiting pipelines that cut time-to-fill
- Multi-entity, healthcare or multi-state HR experience
- Built or audited an HR tech and vendor stack
