Job summary

Unigen Corporation, a global technology and manufacturing solutions provider, seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead our HR strategy in Newark, California. This onsite role partners with the Executive VP of Operations to drive organizational growth, talent development, and performance management across the business.

The successful candidate will oversee compensation, benefits, payroll governance, and HR operations while guiding data-driven decision making and digital transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Manufacturing experience required; EMS or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience leading organizational change, talent development, and performance management.

Technology & Digital Capability

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now or equivalent systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and embraces digital transformation to improve HR effectiveness.
