Summary

strategic and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all aspects of our HR function. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the organization’s business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and HR operations. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Director of HR will act as a key business partner, driving initiatives that attract, retain, and develop top talent while promoting a culture of equity, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of HR leadership, ideally in food manufacturing, CPG, or similar industries
  • Experience in both union and non-union environments
  • Proven success in talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Effective in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
  • HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement people strategies that support long-term business goals, including workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership alignment.
  • Talent Acquisition & Development: Lead end-to-end recruitment strategies and enhance talent development programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and succession planning to build a strong internal pipeline.
  • Performance & Engagement: Champion employee engagement efforts and performance management practices that promote accountability, recognition, and career growth.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Drive DE&I strategies to foster a collaborative, inclusive culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage employee relations in both union and non-union environments, overseeing investigations, conflict resolution, and compliance with all applicable labor laws.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Evaluate and refine compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with company objectives.
  • Change Management: Provide HR leadership during periods of change and transformation, ensuring clear communication, cultural alignment, and sustained engagement.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting: Utilize HR data and workforce analytics to inform strategic decision-making and improve the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Executive Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, offering insight on organizational development, business performance impact, and people-related strategies.
