Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and executing the human resources strategy across the PhireLink family of companies. This role serves as the organization's senior HR leader and is responsible for developing scalable HR programs, ensuring compliance, supporting mergers and acquisitions, driving talent acquisition efforts, overseeing compensation and benefits administration, and fostering a high-performance culture.

The Director of Human Resources will partner closely with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives while supporting a growing multi-state workforce. This position requires a hands‑on leader who can effectively balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day operational execution.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partner with executive leadership to align human resources strategies with business objectives, organizational development, workforce planning, and the Company's longterm growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing guidance on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and change management.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, highperforming culture that supports employee engagement, development, retention, and organizational success.
  • Design and implement scalable HR processes, systems, and organizational infrastructure capable of supporting the Company's continued growth through acquisitions and expansion.
  • Lead and oversee all human resources functions across the organization, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, compliance, training and development, and workforce planning.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts for corporate, technical, operational, field-service, and leadership positions while standardizing hiring practices across the organization.
  • Develop and oversee performance management, employee development, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce training initiatives that support employee growth and business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, programs, and systems that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.
  • Administer and oversee compensation, incentive, benefits, retirement, PTO, and payroll programs to ensure competitive, compliant, and equitable employment practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, workplace safety requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, and industry-specific certification and training standards.
  • Lead the human resources aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, workforce integration, organizational design, change management, and post-acquisition integration activities.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and workforce analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external HR consultants, employment counsel, payroll providers, benefits brokers, recruiting partners, and other professional service providers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Experience supporting multilocation and/or multistate workforces.
  • Experience managing external vendors and professional service providers.
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Rippling and NISC experience preferred), payroll systems, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or comparable professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role with broad responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, organizational integrations, or significant business growth initiatives preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications, construction, utilities, engineering, field services, infrastructure, or related industries preferred.
  • Experience working with multistate employment laws and compliance requirements required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time while performing administrative and computerbased work.
  • Ability to travel periodically to company locations, acquisition targets, industry events, and training programs as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communications.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
