Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Dallas seeks a Director of HR Corporate Functions to partner with Finance, IT, Legal and other corporate teams. You''ll design and deploy people strategies that enable growth, leadership development, and talent readiness across the organization.

The role requires 12+ years of HR leadership, a track record of enterprise transformations, and strong analytics. You will influence leaders, manage change, and drive a high-performance culture across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years progressive HR experience, with 5+ years directly partnering with corporate/functional organizations.
  • Proven success leading enterprise or business-unit transformations (org design, change management, capability building).
  • Demonstrated impact on organizational effectiveness (talent strategy, manager capability, performance mechanisms).
  • Strong business acumen and data fluency (workforce analytics, compensation/market data, performance metrics).
  • Experience in a matrix, functionally organized enterprise with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

What You Get to Do

The Director, HR Corporate Functions is a strategic business partner to Corporate leadership (Finance, IT, Legal, and other corporate functions) and a change leader for OBE's transformation and growth agenda. This role designs and deploys the people strategy that enables organizational effectiveness, clarity, and talent readiness across corporate teams. The ideal leader brings deep experience leading organizational transformations and HR strategy and a proven track record partnering with functional business leaders and teams to drive value-added outcomes.

  • Lead transformation & org design: Shape corporate functions' future-state organization (structures, spans/layers, operating mechanisms), aligning roles and capabilities to growth priorities; steward change management plans that build adoption and resilience.
  • Partner with corporate leaders: Serve as primary HR advisor to Finance, IT, Legal, and other corporate function leaders; translate business goals into people strategies that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience.
  • Talent strategy & workforce planning: Build succession pipelines for functional leadership; design career paths and competency models; drive hiring plans and onboarding that accelerate ramp time for corporate roles.
  • Performance & culture: Embed performance culture (OKRs, manager effectiveness), and recognition programs that reinforce operational excellence.
  • Leadership development: Sponsor development programs (including high-potential and early-career pathways) tailored to corporate functions; champion diverse slates and equitable advancement.
  • Rewards & job architecture alignment: Partner with Total Rewards/Compensation to align roles, job codes, bands, and pay transparency requirements; ensure consistency with OBE policies and UKG/Greenhouse integrations.
  • Employee relations & risk management: Guide complex ER matters, investigations, and escalations across distributed sites; coach leaders to resolve issues proactively and compliantly.
  • HR operations excellence: Drive process improvements across recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and HR systems for corporate functions; optimize integrations (UKG ↔ Greenhouse) supporting clean data and reporting.
  • Stakeholder engagement & communications: Create clear, credible communications during change; facilitate leader roundtables and town halls; measure adoption and impact.

What You Bring

  • 12+ years progressive HR experience, with 5+ years directly partnering with corporate/functional organizations (multi-region or multi-site).
  • Proven success leading enterprise or business-unit transformations (org design, change management, capability building), ideally within manufacturing/distribution or building products.
  • Demonstrated impact on organizational effectiveness (e.g., talent strategy, manager capability, performance mechanisms).
  • Strong business acumen and data fluency (workforce analytics, compensation/market data, performance metrics); skilled at converting insights into action.
  • Solid experience in a matrix, functionally organized enterprise with proven success partnering & delivering results within and outside direct reporting lines and functional groups in a positive and collaborative way.
  • Exceptional influence, executive communication, and stakeholder management; experienced coaching senior leaders through change.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR/Business (Master's preferred); SHRM-SCP/SPHR a plus.
