Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead the HR function across a national inpatient rehabilitation organization. You will plan, organize, and oversee all HR facets, ensuring equitable treatment of staff while fostering a supportive, inclusive culture.

You will liaise with Home Office HR and hospital management to drive recruitment, retention, and employee programs within a compassionate workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Personnel Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in healthcare.
• PHR and/or SPHR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee all facets of the Human Resources department to ensure equitable treatment of all employees, in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Foster an inclusive and productive work environment and culture.
• Implement employee programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as a valuable resource to department managers and other employees, acting as the liaison between Home Office HR and hospital management.
• Coordinate staff education programs, oversee workers' compensation program, and assist with benefits administration.
• Direct hospital recruitment and retention programs to ensure availability of appropriate staffing resources.
