Job summary

Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center, part of Eduro Healthcare, is seeking a hands-on HR and Payroll Manager in Sheridan, WY. You will oversee the full spectrum of human resources and payroll operations, shaping policies, and ensuring accurate payroll processing for a diverse workforce.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR and payroll experience or equivalent.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR credential preferred.
  • Experience leading HR and payroll in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR and payroll functions for the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain payroll records and timekeeping accuracy.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee relations.
  • Enforce policies and assist with audits and inspections.

Job description

Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center is looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to head up our Human Resources and Payroll department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to take over all aspects of the Human Resources department with minimal oversight and be able to work with a multi-faceted team and a diverse workforce.

SUMMARY

The HR and Payroll Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources and payroll functions within the facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:


Adherence to Policies


  • Must show courtesy and respect to other employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, the general public, etc.

  • Abide by Eduro HealthCare’s drug and alcohol policy.

  • Maintain good personal hygiene and dress and groom appropriately.

  • Report on time as scheduled and follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions.

  • Become thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures.

  • Must be able to perform duties in a timely fashion, and within the prescribed sequences and schedules.

  • Must be cooperative with other departments and be courteous and respectful in dealing with them at all times.

  • Participate in and respond professionally to surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies.


HR and Payroll Manager Duties include


  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.

  • Implements and annually updates the compensation program, rewrites job descriptions, as necessary.

  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; assists with benefits administration.

  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

  • End to end recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; write and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts pre-employment checks (background, references, drug test, etc.); extends job offers; conducts new-employee onboarding and orientations; assists with career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews

  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Keeps accurate payroll records and ensures compliance

  • Oversees time clock records and ensures employees and managers are correctly inputting time and making corrections as necessary

  • Runs daily punch exception reports for managers and employees

  • Training of employees and managers on how to accurately submit and correct their worked hours and submit for vacation and sick time

  • Responsible for accurate employee entry into HRIS and timekeeping systems

  • Processes payroll efficiently, timely and according to all applicable federal, state, and local laws

  • Keeps accurate records for PBJ and OSHA logs and ensures compliance.

Education and Experience
