The Human Resources Coordinator will support the daily operations of the HR department. This position is an integral partner to align the HR business plan with the organization’s business goals and objectives. support the alignment of HR programs with the organization’s business objectives. This role will partner with the HR department on the following duties: employee life cycle changes, recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, and employee records. The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as the primary resource for employees to nurture the positive and meaningful employee experience.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, questions, and concerns. Cultivate employee, vendor, and client relationships to deliver a VIP experience.
- Develop and nurture employee, advisor, and vendor relationships to deliver a VIP experience; serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, questions, and concerns.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential personnel files and data within Paylocity, the Human Resources Information System (HRIS); contributing to the integrity of the HR team metrics.
- Support the HR department on the full-cycle recruitment processes for the company and independent advisor practices.
- Partner with managers to align business and department needs to develop job descriptions. Execute on recruitment efforts such as but not limited to compensation benchmarking, job postings, resume review, phone screening, post-interview summaries, pre-employment screenings and assessments, onboarding process, and new hire orientation.
- Conduct with HR team and managers on offboarding procedures including but not limited to, preparing offboarding documents, termination of benefits with carriers, termination in HRIS, participate in exit meeting, and assist with succession planning for department.
- Partner with the HR team with benefits administration including but not limited to qualifying life events, leave of absences, coordinating activities during Open Enrollment, process and audit all benefit elections, carrier updates, and supporting with the HR team to develop company communications and materials.
- Assist with payroll administration; act as back up payroll processor which includes but not limited to, the record management of all payroll and benefit changes, HRIS system updates, and 401k and HSA file submissions. Work in collaboration with the HR team and finance department.
- Serve as a back up to office management responsibilities including but not limited to office aesthetics, front desk presence, and phone queue coverage.
- Promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development; execute the employee engagement strategy, contribute to Culture Club, and engagement initiatives.
- Support the performance and talent development process and timeline; monitor and analyze the successful completion of each performance management milestone. Ensure timely and necessary documentation as needed.
- Interpret organizational risk management by monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize organizational risk.

Job Specifications and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business management, or a related field, required.
- At least one year of human resources support experience, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and SharePoint, preferred.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead under pressure on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with high visibility in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization. Personable, approachable with a positive attitude in providing service excellence.
- Ability to work independently with effective problem solving, conflict resolution, risk mitigation, time, and project-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, make solid judgements and act with integrity, professionalism and empathy.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
