Job Title: Human Resources Consultant

If you're eager to make an impact in human resources and enjoy working collaboratively, this opportunity is for you! We're hiring a Human Resources Consultant to join our UPMC Physician Services Human Resources team.

The Human Resources Consultant is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. This position offers a weekly, hybrid work environment with occasional travel to the Pittsburgh region.

In this role, the Human Resources Consultant will be the main point of contact for several groups within UPMC Physician Services. Daily responsibilities include supporting staff and managers with employee relations matters, handling employee investigations and corrective actions, working on retention and engagement initiatives, coaching leaders, and more!

Responsibilities:
  1. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team collaborative atmosphere in which all HR functions work together as one team.
  2. Change Management and Inclusion: Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness, incorporating diversity & inclusion strategies to foster a culture of inclusion that maximizes our competitive advantage and workforce skills. Facilitate cultural integration planning and develop strategies to foster employee engagement and commitment.
  3. Leadership Partnership: Partner independently with leaders across all HR and business functions. Provide a consultative approach, proactively addressing issues and concerns with business leaders.
  4. Leadership Development: Coach leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness, maximize results, and facilitate leader onboarding, talent acquisition, and internal mobility.
  5. Organizational Initiatives: Participate in local and organization-wide committees focused on projects that advance organizational goals.
  6. HR and Business Capabilities: Contribute to building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes aligned with strategic objectives.
  7. Strategic HR Support: Build HR Business Partner relationships based on in-depth understanding of business objectives, providing strategic counsel and analytics to support goal attainment.
