Job summary

Loadmaster, a national manufacturer of refuse trucks, is seeking an HR Generalist to support payroll, benefits, onboarding and recruitment. You will process payroll, administer benefits, and assist with new hire orientation, while maintaining records and compliance.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with managers across departments, help screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and ensure timely data

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background screening and drug screening.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide payroll procedures including data input, timecards, balancing and maintaining payroll records.
  • Assist with administration of company benefits programs.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Address employee requests regarding HR issues, policies and regulations.
  • Maintain electronic and paper employee records.
  • Assist with recruitment by advertising for candidates and performing pre-employment checks.
  • Help schedule meetings and interviews with prospective employees.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Loadmaster is a rapidly growing national manufacturer of refuse trucks with customers all over the country. Garbage never stops, it always needs to be picked up no matter the weather or the economy and our products play an integral role in that process. Some of our customers include major cities and hauling companies who depend on our products in order to keep their cities, parks, and towns clean and healthy.

Summary

Responsible for the success conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, efficient staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinking problem-solver.

Essential Functions

  • Perform required procedures to process payroll including data input, timecards, balancing and maintaining accurate staff payroll records.
  • Assisting with the administration of the company benefit programs.
  • New employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper records of employees.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by advertising for and identifying candidates, as well as performing pre-employment reference and background checks.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and interviews with prospective employees.

Prefferred Education and/or Experience
  • 1+ year in a human resources role
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team.
