Job summary

MorseLife Health System is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to act as a strategic partner to the leadership team and employees in South Florida. This role focuses on employee experience, compliance with employment laws, and shaping people strategies to support retention, performance, staffing, and resident-centered service.

You will coach managers, lead investigations, oversee lifecycle events, monitor HR metrics, and collaborate on staffing and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with HRBP or similar role.
  • Experience in senior living or healthcare environments preferred.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted HR advisor to leadership and managers.
  • Lead employee relations matters including investigations.
  • Partner with leadership on staffing and retention strategies.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle (transfers, promotions, leaves, offboarding).
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support workforce planning, turnover analysis, and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and onboarding.
  • Support performance reviews and goal setting.
  • Facilitate employee engagement programs and recognition.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands‑on human resources partner to the leadership team and employees at MorseLife Health System. This role is responsible for supporting positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, healthcare regulations, and organizational standards. The HRBP partners closely with organization leadership and department managers to develop and implement people strategies that support employee retention, performance, staffing, and high-quality resident care. The HRBP also collaborates with the employee engagement function to support organizational initiatives that contribute to a positive employee experience.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to the HR Director, department leaders, and managers, providing guidance and coaching on employee relations, performance management, attendance, corrective action, conflict resolution, staffing, policy interpretation, and other organizational matters.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, workplace concerns, complaints, and disciplinary actions, ensuring consistent and fair practices.
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs, improve retention, and develop strategies to attract and retain high-quality caregivers and support staff.
  • Oversee and support the employee lifecycle, including transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, touchpoints and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, staffing trends, turnover analysis, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor turnover, absenteeism, vacancies, and other HR metrics and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Support recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers, recruiters, and leadership to fill critical positions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure new employees receive appropriate orientation, required documentation, and training.
  • Coordinate and/or support performance review processes and assist managers in developing meaningful performance goals.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, and retention strategies.
  • Support compliance with required employee training, certifications, background checks, and other employment requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to promote a culture of respect, inclusion, accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered service.
  • Assist with HR audits, regulatory surveys, licensing requirements, and internal compliance reviews.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and provide HR insight on business and operational decisions.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and other HR projects.

What You’ll Bring

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, healthcare, hospitality, or another highly regulated, service-focused environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Experience coaching and developing managers and leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, retention, performance management, employee engagement, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and other HR technology.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
