Job summary

MorseLife Health System is seeking an entry-level Food Service Attendant to prepare and deliver meal trays to residents, assist with serving, and support cleanup and sanitation in a caring senior-care environment in South Florida. Responsibilities include tray assembly, item placement, inventory checks, and maintaining a clean, organized dining and kitchen area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with training or 1–3 months related experience acceptable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers food trays to residents and assists with serving and cleanup of meals.
  • Determines items to place on tray according to procedures.
  • Inspects trays for completeness and arranges utensils, napkins, and condiments.
  • Handles kitchen inventory before leaving.
  • Pushes carts to resident floor pantries prior to meals.
  • Maintains cleanliness of dining area and kitchen; cleans work area and disposes of waste.
  • Assists with setup for next meal and ensures sanitary work station.

Position Summary

Prepares, delivers food trays to residents, assist with serving and clean up of meals by performing the following duties.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Assists in the preparation of floor meal service and prepares food items such as snack rays and floor refrigerator refreshments.
  • Determines items to place on tray according to specified procedures.
  • Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart. Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays.
  • Responsible for inventory prior to leaving kitchen.
  • Pushes carts to resident floor pantries prior to meals.
  • Responsible for cleaning up in dining room and pantry. Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
  • Washes dishes and cleans work area, collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers. Performs other specified cleaning duties in kitchen, dining rooms and kitchen equipment.
  • Assists with setting up of next meal.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary work station that is in compliance with departmental guidelines.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks as needed.
  • Attends in-service training classes.
What You’ll Bring
