HR Business Partner, People & Culture

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Business Partner, People & Culture will serve as a strategic business partner, driving innovative HR solutions and delivering support across the full employee life cycle. This role will have a particular focus on talent acquisition, employee development, and fostering a strong organizational culture. With the ability to balance strategic oversight and hands-on execution, the HRBP will collaborate with leaders to elevate HR practices, support organizational goals, and build scalable systems that align with EO's global and diverse workforce.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, People & Culture, this role will translate traditional HR business partner responsibilities into an elevated generalist framework, emphasizing decision-making, proactive problem-solving, and partnership with internal teams. A key focus will be on full-cycle recruitment, leadership development, and supporting global hiring needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Business Partnership:

  • Collaborates with leaders and teams to understand and execute EO’s talent strategy as it relates to current and future needs in recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and organizational development.
  • Builds relationships with leaders to ensure alignment between People & Culture priorities and organizational objectives.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Leads full-cycle recruitment efforts across all levels, managing the end-to-end process from intake to onboarding.
  • Leads the development and execution of innovative recruitment strategies, including market analysis, competitive compensation insights, and effective sourcing approaches.
  • Oversees external agency/vendor partnerships and contractors to ensure talent acquisition goals are met.

Talent Management:

  • Supports the Senior Director on the planning and execution of the annual performance review process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Guides leaders on performance management practices, including constructive feedback, coaching, and talent calibration.
  • Partners with the Director, Staff Learning and business leaders to design and implement scalable leadership development programs, equipping managers at all levels with the tools to grow and succeed.
  • Supports the evolution of learning and development initiatives to build a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on middle management coaching and skills development.
  • Supports culture initiatives, including but not limited to the execution of engagement and pulse surveys and associated action planning, leadership and staff development initiatives, etc.

Operational HR Support:

  • Partners with the Senior Director, People & Culture, to execute strategic HR initiatives.
  • Drives engagement initiatives, including Global Staff Week, engagement and pulse surveys, action planning, and recognition programs.
  • Provides guidance on global HR challenges, including compliance, EOR arrangements, and international hiring strategies.
  • Oversees HR reporting and analytics, and supports internal communication efforts of EO’s SharePoint site.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a strategic HRBP position.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting, with global experience preferred.
  • Global HR experience required, including working with Employer of Record (EOR) partners.
  • Experience in nonprofit or membership-based organizations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead full cycle recruiting efforts, with expertise in talent acquisition strategies and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing learning and development programs preferred.
  • Proactive, results-driven, collaborative, and people-centric.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders.
  • Proven experience managing stakeholders and proactively driving HR initiatives.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • A strong desire to work as part of a global team in a complex, dynamic environment.
