Job summary

Helpside is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor for diverse client engagements. You will guide employment law compliance, advise on benefits and HR processes, and help leaders navigate coaching, performance management, and policy development.

You will partner with client teams to resolve complex employee relations issues while delivering exceptional service and driving client success across multiple states.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in HR.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, leave & accommodation, recruiting, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on HR-related issues and employee relations.
  • Coach clients on HR compliance and keep them updated on policies and changes.
  • Explain benefits information and assist with questions.
  • Provide day-to-day performance guidance to client leaders on coaching and discipline.
  • Develop and review HR policies; support implementation across clients.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and proactive client engagement.
  • Educate client leadership and staff on a variety of HR topics.
  • Meet with clients to address questions and gather referrals.

Role Overview

The role of the HR Business Partner is to be a trusted advisor to all our clients. They manage the experience that our clients have with our systems, tools, resources, and expertise. We expect a Business Partner to provide expert level advice on employment law compliance and all things HR so our clients can worry less about researching laws and worry more about running their businesses. Business Partners are responsible for proactively meeting with client contacts to fulfill promises that have been made, educate them on how to best use our tools and services, prove value, solve problems, and gather referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a trusted business partner and consultant for our clients on HR related issues and employee relations matters
  • Maintain an effective level of multi-state HR literacy to coach on HR legal updates and changes, including requests for accommodation or leave triggering FMLA, ADA, PDA, PWFA, PUMP Act, and applicable state laws
  • Train on and deliver accurate benefits information to our clients
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to client leaders on coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions
  • Provide HR policy guidance, creation and review
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to our clients
  • Train client leadership and their employees on a variety of HR topics
  • Proactively meet with clients to address questions and concerns
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in HR
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, leave and accommodation, recruiting, and federal and state employment laws
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
