Skill, in partnership with Aquent, seeks a seasoned HR Business Partner to align people strategies with business goals and drive a thriving workplace. You will provide HR consultation across staffing, compensation, benefits, and training, and lead complex performance and employee relations cases while ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.

A bachelor's degree and 5–10 years' experience in tech organizations are required; strong HRIS and communication skills are essential for supporting software

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in an area of specialty and a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working as an HR Business Partner.
  • Must have prior experience specifically supporting software development engineers and understanding how technology organizations operate.
  • Operates as a tactical "do-er" who is comfortable relying on experience and judgment to dive into day-to-day administrative tasks rather than focusing strictly on high-level strategy.
  • Demonstrates high technical proficiency with HRIS systems, communication platforms, and productivity suites for daily operations and people data management.
  • Requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills alongside a high degree of ownership and adaptability.

  • Provides human resources consultation and tactical support to line managers and senior leaders across various functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, and training.
  • Handles complex performance management and employee relations cases requiring discretion, high judgment, and deep problem-solving skills.
  • Structures, organizes, and facilitates seasonal talent reviews, which includes working closely with executive assistants to schedule leadership sessions.
  • Ensures seamless knowledge transfer and operational continuity through meticulous documentation of ongoing HR activities.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with peer HR professionals to support various organizational functions.
