About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational goals to advance Centralus Health's mission and values. This role partners with leaders to strengthen workforce effectiveness, build leadership capability, drive engagement, and support a culture of accountability, equity, and excellence. The HRBP leverages Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Shared Services for transactional, administrative, and specialty functions, ensuring leaders have timely, expert support while focusing on long-term workforce strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Workforce Partnership: Partners with leaders to understand business priorities and develop people strategies that support operational success, including workforce planning, staffing models, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Leader Coaching & Capability Building: Coaches leaders on performance management, employee engagement, change leadership, and constructive employee relations-strengthening leadership capabilities across the system.
  • Organizational & Culture Development: Identifies workforce trends and culture opportunities, recommending actions that support a high-trust, inclusive, and high-performance environment.
  • Data-Driven Consultation: Interprets workforce analytics (turnover, engagement, safety, performance, labor trends) to help leaders make informed decisions and proactively address workforce risks.
  • People Leader & Employee Relations Partnership: Collaborates with People Leaders and the Employee & Labor Relations Team to provide guidance on complex employee relations matters. Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant approaches that align with organizational policies, mission and values.
  • Change & Transformation Support: Advises leaders on the people impact of organizational change, supporting communication planning, stakeholder alignment, and leader readiness during transitions.
  • Collaboration Across HR COEs: Partners with HR Shared Services and Centers of Excellence-including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, DEI, and HR Operations-to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
  • Policy Interpretation & Continuous Improvement: Interprets HR policies and identifies opportunities for improved processes, clarity, and consistency across the health system.
  • Relationship Management: Builds strong, trusted relationships with leaders and employees, ensuring HR is accessible, solutions-focused, and aligned with Centralus Health values.

Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, healthcare administration, or a related field; Equivalent Experience: 7+ years of progressively responsible HR experience supporting leaders as a generalist or business partner.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least three HR functional areas (e.g., employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, compensation, change management).
  • Proven ability to coach leaders, interpret HR policy, and support complex employee relations matters.
  • Preferred: Previous leadership experience in healthcare or staff development.
  • SHRM-CP certification or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer workstation, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to move throughout offices, facilities, and meeting locations as needed to perform job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual platforms.
