Job summary

Addison Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, aligning HR practices with business objectives and driving organizational effectiveness.

The role partners with operational leaders on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, recruiting support, onboarding, and change initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting leaders in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Advise managers on HR policies, employment practices, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Support recruiting efforts with hiring managers from requisition planning through onboarding.
  • Coach supervisors on employee development, conflict resolution, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Assist with investigations involving workplace concerns and recommend resolutions.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and engagement.
  • Support compensation, performance reviews, and talent development initiatives.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Participate in organizational change initiatives and drive HR programs aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain accurate employee records ensuring confidentiality and policy compliance.
