Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to implement HR strategies across practice offices or global functions, promoting colleague well-being and an equitable work environment. The role is based in Silicon Valley or San Francisco with travel between Bay Area offices and a hybrid schedule of four days in the office.

The candidate will support performance optimization, talent development, acquisition, and policy adherence while partnering with senior leaders and teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• At least four years of relevant HR experience.
• Experience advising stakeholders in a global matrixed organization.
• Experience coordinating and managing complex employee relations matters.

About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for implementing Human Capital & Talent strategies in actionable deliverables within practice offices or global functions, while championing colleague well-being and enabling a work environment that is equitable and offers fair treatment, transparency, inclusiveness, personal accountability, trust, and mutual respect.

This role will be based in either our Silicon Valley or San Francisco office and will provide support across both Bay Area offices. While one location will serve as the primary office, regular travel between and work from both offices is expected. This role follows a hybrid schedule of four (4) days per week in the office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Implementing Human Capital & Talent strategies inclusive of engagement strategies, optimized performance, and professional development
• Managing people-related projects, programs, and processes to ensure compliance and completion
• Supporting department leadership with performance optimization efforts, including talent development and acquisition, resource management, and colleague training programs
• Serving as a trusted advisor to office leadership and colleagues by providing advice and guidance across all human resources topics, inclusive of employee relations and policy adherence
• Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of human resources functions
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a best-in-class customer-service focus
• Display effective communication skills, both written and verbal

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
• Two (2) years of additional relevant experience, preferably
• Experience advising, guiding, and supporting key stakeholders within a global matrixed organization, preferably
• Experience in coordinating and managing complex employee relations matters, preferably

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
